A family, some hives, and honey worth keeping
HNB Foods started the way most small food businesses in Pakistan do — with more honey than one family could eat and friends who kept asking for a jar.
We keep Small Bee colonies and harvest only what the hive can spare. Every batch is strained through mesh, poured cold into the jar and sealed the same day. Nothing is heated, nothing is blended with syrup, and nothing is filtered so hard that the pollen disappears.
That is the whole process. It is not complicated — it is just rarely done any more.
Four steps, and that is all
No factory, no processing line, no additives at any stage.
1. We keep the bees
Our own colonies, placed where the forage is natural and untreated.
2. We take the surplus
Only what the hive can spare, so the colony stays strong through the season.
3. We strain it cold
Mesh only, no heat. The pollen, enzymes and aroma stay in the honey.
4. We seal it the same day
Jarred, labelled and sealed by hand, then packed for your order.
Raw honey behaves differently
If you have only ever bought supermarket honey, ours may surprise you. That is a good sign.
- It pours slowly
Thick and heavy. Thin, watery honey usually means it has been heated or cut with syrup.
- It changes colour by season
The flowers the bees visit change through the year, so no two batches look identical.
- It crystallises
Granules forming at the bottom is natural. Stand the jar in warm water and stir.
- It keeps for years
Sealed and stored dry, honey does not spoil. Ours is dated 24 months from packing.
